Infrarød medicinalsk lampe styrker immmunforsvaret

Written by  aug 16, 2016

'Hydrosun 750 infrarød lampe' stimulerer immunforsvaret til at bekæmpe visse sygdomme og styrke de selvhelbredende kræfter

In English:

Only through the filtering effect of the water in the atmosphere does the sun’s radiation lose its harmful impact enabling a diversity of growth. Without this filtering of the sun’s radiation by the atmosphere, absorption of this energy through the water molecules in the most superficial human skin layers would occur, which would result in a stinging and burning sensation. Intense overheating and rapid tissue dehydration would be the result.
Intended use

The hydrosun 750 is intended to be used to provide infra-red heat treatment to a painful or inflamed part of the body.

The hydrosun is also approved as a light source for photodynamic therapy (PDT).

Included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG Identifier 204929), Medical Device Included Class IIa, Infrared light therapy unit.

The hydrosun 750 can be used to provide infrared heat therapy to relieave pain and inflammation associated with arthritis, neuritis, neuralgia, back pain, rheumatism, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, muscle pain, fibromyalgia, strains and sprains  but may also help reduce sypmtoms associated with other inflammatory conditions including sinusitis and keloid formation around scars, acne, poor wound healing and other skin lesions. Infrared therapy may also improve peripheral circulation. Can be used in conjuction with physical therapies including massage.

Nature provided the inspiration for the water filter used in the hydrosun 750: The hydrosun® irradiators have a patented, sealed liquid filter that enables them to replicate the combination of the sun and the moisture in the Earth‘s atmosphere. A water filter absorbs infrared light of those wavelengths that would otherwise present a thermal burden to the skin.

An important feature of water-filtered infrared-A (wIRA) is its ability to penetrate into deeper-lying tissues while at the same time being gentle to the skin, thus allowing the application of wIRA at higher intensities resulting in increased effectiveness. The rise in the body‘s core temperature is correspondingly rapid and well-tolerated. In the leg and foot regions, further infrared emitters create a comfortable temperature in the interior of the tent so that the minimising heat loss.

I couldn't imagine my practice without the Hydrosun 750.

Photodynamic therapy

I am a GP with special interest in Dermatology and have been performing Photodynamic therapy for field treatment of solar damaged skin and superficial Non Melanoma Skin Cancers for the last 10 years.

Formerly I was using LED light for photo activation, but over the last year have switched to the Hydrosun 750 Near Infra Red light.

I have found it  as effective as LED but at least 50% less painful in the majority of cases. It's large spot size also allows the treatment of larger areas such as whole face or scalp.

The device is listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and the back up provided by the supplier Michael Thomsen is excellent.

I have no hesitation in recommending the Hydrosun device to any practitioner involved in the treatment of skin disease with Photodynamic Therapy.
